Alexandra Cavoulacos

Alex is the Chief Operating Officer & Head of Product at HUG. Previously, she was the CEO and co-founder of Meta Angels, which was acquired by HUG in November 2022. Meta Angels pioneered the first-of-its-kind NFT lending technology on the blockchain. Alex is also the co-founder of Angel Labs, a web3 accelerator that brought experienced operators and creators from concept to mint.

Prior to web3, Alex co-founded The Muse, a values-based career platform used by over 75 million people to research companies and careers where she led operations and product for a decade. The Muse was named one of Fast Company's 50 Most Innovative Companies in the World and #3 Most Innovative Company for Enterprise. She served on the company’s Board of Directors from 2011 to 2022.

Outside of tech, Alex is a partner in Nothing Ventured Productions, where she produces and invests in commercial theater on Broadway.

Alex is a frequent speaker on web3, entrepreneurship, the future of work, and productivity. She is also the co-author of the national bestselling book The New Rules of Work: The Modern Playbook for Navigating Your Career (Crown Business, 2017). She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Hello Neighbor.

Prior to founding The Muse, Alex was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, primarily focused on growth strategy for Fortune 500 companies. Originally from Paris, France, Alex is a passionate but infrequent long-distance cyclist, and an avid reader. She lives in New York City with her husband and two daughters.
